ED MARTINEZ
President / Founder
Edward Martinez founded PSE Superchargers in 1991.
Born in Southern California, Ed always had a strong love for cars,
from Hot Wheels to Tonka Trucks. Ed’s imagination continued
to run wild and his passion continued to grow.
In 1982 Ed started his first job at a Union 76 gas station in
Sacramento, CA. In 1987 he moved to Texas to attend Sierra Institute
of Automotive, and in 1990 Ed moved back to Sacramento and opened
his own repair shop "Z-Car Performance" specializing
in the Datsun / Nissan "Z" Car and rebuilding turbochargers
and superchargers.
In 1992 his shop began focusing on racing and race car preparation
and set-up. Ed's race car driving skills were also improving,
winning first place at two national "Z Car" racing events
in the "FP" class, 3 SCCA Solo II, San Francisco Region
"FP" Championships in 1993,1994 and 1995. In 1993 Ed
became the crew chief for Dwight Davis's Blue Haven Racing 1985
GT-1 Corvette.
For the next two years, while working with Mr. Davis, Ed developed
his skills in chassis setup, tires, safety equipment, fuel systems
and 18 deg. cup style racing engines. With 24 years experience
in the automotive industry, Ed received his ASE Master Automobile
Technician Certification in 1996 and is known by his friends and
peers as being a meticulous, clean, top quality mechanic.
Today, Ed is dedicated to providing his customers with the best
